Introduction

The construction materials were renewed, providing passive safety of car. Design

Engine

The noise of the engine is not heard practically, on middle turns it works quietly and softly, without irritating vibrations. A loud and distinct sound arises up only on 4500 turns in minute and aerodynamic noises -- after 140 km/h. It does not glitter at the dynamics of 306th, but both motors -- and 1.4 and 1.6 -- possess quite good traction and very elastic: there are more than their enough possibilities for a ride in normal style. They are well concerted with gear box, a transmission is enough long, to decrease frequency of manipulations a lever, and at the same time allow fluently, but confidently to draw out it from "bottoms".

Peugeot 306 is equipped with disk ventilated front brakes and disk back ones.

It is not produced any more. In 2001 the version was replaced by Peugeot 307.

Performance

Standard acquisition offers the following set: conditioner, two pillows of safety with disconnecting of passenger, front electric lifters for glass and central lock. Powerful and effective vent setting with micro filter is also included. Straps of safety are managed on the height. An electronic clock is also provided. And, that is especially important for ladies; there is a very convenient mirror for your daily make-up. On the display of odometer the information is hatched about that. Electro-mirrors, heating of seats and sensor, are for a separate pay set raining.

Small diameter a helm with a thick rim is comfortable and has vertical regulation; however seats are covered dense with velour and have good antifriction properties, the presence of vertical regulation allows to pick up the most optimum position. Aspheric lateral mirrors provide wide review, practically without dead areas, but it is necessary to get used to their special dot shape. In respect to management, pedals are located superfluously grouped.

What critics have to say?

The car is pleasant in many respects. It is elegant, practical, but also unpretentious. It is made simple, but with taste. Even with good taste. It is a good choice for ambitious drivers, small families and ladies.

Different versions

The XCI version was produced in autumn 1993. It is equipped with 2 l engine, 121 rpm.
Peugeot S16 has a 16-valvular engine of 2.0 l and 152 rpm. It is the basket cabriolet, is the traveling version of Peugeot 306 Maxi. S 16 is produced only in a 3-door variant. 6-step KPP and АBS of 5th generation stands for it. Peugeot 306 Cabriolet turned out to get title “The best cabriolet 1994”. In 1995 Peugeot 306 sedan version appeared. Its back pendant was renewed, so the stability of the car was promoted substantially. In 1996 the changed version GTI was announced.
