General Introduction
This revolutionary off-road car does not have analogues. It is the mixture of the real sport car with its technical description and structural features and authentic SUV (Sport Utility Vehicle) with its comfort. Mazda CX-7 is the serial development of Mazda MX-Cross-sport, concept car which was one of the raisins at Detroit car show in 2005. The length of Mazda CX-7 is equal to 4675 mm; the width is 1872 m mm. There are 5 doors which make landing easy.
Design
It looks like a typical sport car outside. You can see that smooth aerodynamic shape of basket. The angle of slope of the windscreen is unusually big for an off-road car. Also this model differs from the others by the smooth roof line and salient “muscular” arches of 18-inch wheels.
The exterior of the Mazda CX-7 is typical for the latest Mazda cars, for example there is a well known 5-angle radiator grate and well-seen front wings.
When you look at it you can see the definite mixture of the best American and Japanese traditions.
The interior of Mazda CX-7 corresponds to all the standards of SUV beginning with capacity and up to flexibility of configuration. There is a wide range of equipment present in standard bundling. In the salon of the car there is enough space for five passengers. For their comfort there is a great amount of separations, a deep luggage separation and seats with the high level of transformation.
Engine
The engine has 4-cylinders and has the power of 238 rpm. The twisting moment is equal to 35.7 kg/m.
Powerful petrol engine of 2.3 L is equipped with the system of turbo blow which enriches the sporting qualities of car. The same system was used for design of the prestigious Mazda3 MPS and Mazda6 MPS. As the designers say it will take 7.9 sec to accelerate up to 100 km/h. The engine provides high powerful characteristics on all rotations frequencies of crankshaft. Its ecological and economic descriptions are better than the engines of the greater swept volume that are utilized for the same class of SUV.
Brakes
The Mazda CX-7 has a fully independent suspension bracket and ventilated brakes for all wheels, the drive can be complete or front. The system of the automatic distributing of twisting moment between axes is offered. At the European market however the back driving gear version will be presented. In standard bundling the car is equipped with ABS, the system of dynamic stabilizing and traction-control.
Performance
The mass production of this car began in spring of 2006. The model CX-7 is the first representative of new generation of Mazda, oriented to the North American market. Last year the car appeared at European and Japanese markets, however these cars have the other engines and the other suspension bracket and undercarriage. The only explanation for such an expansion to the market is that SUVs have enormous popularity in the world market.
