Introduction
In April, 1997 there was a great change according to the model row of 626 and new Mazda 626 appeared. Long enough and laborious work preceded this event related to the necessity of fixing former and forgotten of glory reliable and inexpensive family car. These are the reasons that Mazda 626 was initially developed for.
Design
The body of the Mazda 626 has undergone a complete change. For example, rounded lines inherited by Japanese soap "dishes" liked by someone and irritated ones in a previous basket disappeared. Instead Mazda 626 got lines typically from the European car with smooth lines of body but under the sharply expressed corners. The shape of the body changed: it became more than 100 mm shorter, 40/30 mm higher. However in spite of the fact that this car became less in its size outside but it became much more inside!
Pendant of new 626 was practically inherited from the 626 generation. Engineers of Mazda seem to use the rule that the best is the enemy of the best. However all its basic details responsible for resilient options of pendant, such as shock absorbers, the stabilization of transversal stability and spring of shock absorbers are replaced with new ones. Even the fastening of stabilization bars was changed.
Tthe most interesting event in a model row 626 became the appearance of new universal car on the base of 626. 626 had not this type of basket especially widespread and it was inserted in a model row of 626 only one time in 1987. The original appearance did not change except of radiator grate and emblem on it. With arrival in 1991 of new baskets there is Sedan and hatchback, this universal changed the interior of salon only. The unchanged body managed to look absolutely modern. But at last its time started. A forehand at all of three variants is identical. Distinctions begin to show up after the middle bar of basket and they create very harmonic view of modern universal car: swift, with the faint features of sport style and at the same time it is capacious and comfortable.
Engine
In respect to power aggregates all of three modifications the 626 remained as they were in previous series. But it also changed in certain aspects at the same time. A motor of FP (1.8i DOHC) was changed to 66Hp for the increase of resource and economy of fuel; now it accelerate a maximal moment only at 2500 turns and it reminds a diesel by its description. The motor of FS (2.0i DOHC) is still the same 115 Hp however it got a brother-twin, slightly forced. Now, due to tuning in the block of management the injection of FS-Hi Power it is 21 Hp powerful to its brother. Old motor of KL (2.5i DOHC) is not set in the new model.
Brakes
The front brakes and the back brakes are disc ventilated.
Other Features
The list of additional equipment of new 626 is enormous; however this car does not look waning in its base acquisition. Control device of front glasses and mirrors, four pillows of safety (it is supplied not for all markets in such acquisition), ABS, regulated by height steering column and built-in, automatic climate-control, rout computer, showing the instantaneous expense of fuel are some of the exquisite features of the car.
History Of The Producer
The Japanese company Mazda was established in 1920, but automobile car production was developed only in the middle of the last century, after the Second World War. The numerous admirers of Mazda all over the world value the highest quality and comparatively low price for these cars. The current model row of company is very wide and able to satisfy everyone - from the lovers of tiny city cars to the admirers of comfortable business-class. The second generation of Mazda 626 appeared in 1982, and in five years, in 1987, a new model made a debut. Mazda 626 was introduced with the body of Sedan, couchette, 5-doors hatchback and universal. The design of body and salon looks already out-of-date, but there are no claims towards the ergonomics of driver seat.
