Honda is an automobile manufacturing company which is in the competition for last so many years. The company has produced a whole lot of cars, bikes and other automobiles. Many of the models from the list have been successful in the market. Honda has been turning out luxury and other cars over the year. Honda Jazz is one of those.

The Honda Jazz Generations

In fact, the Honda Jazz is a name plate which Honda has used for more than one vehicle. This name plate came into use in 1982 and after wards it has been used for more than one car. Even a 55cc scooter introduced in Canada in 1986 was named plated Jazz. This vehicle is still being produced and sold. The same name plate is being used.

A short wheel based Isuzu MU is known as Honda Jazz in the Japanese market. The same car has been introduced as Opel Frontera in some other parts of the world. The Japanese firm has been producing the Honda Jazz since 1982. The car was released as Honda City Make I in the European markets from 1982 till 1986. The European market was already flooded with Opel so the car was named as city over there.

Recently a five door hatch back car has been introduced in Japan, China, South America and North America. This car is known to be a fit in these areas but the same car is called as Honda Jazz in Europe, Oceania, some other parts of the Asian continent and Africa. The car was named as Honda Jazz in Europe especially because the term Fit was not suitable in this market. The same term has some vulgar meanings in some of the Scandinavian languages. Thus from marketing point of view, the car was named as Honda Jazz.

Design

The Honda Jazz is being produced as the fourth Generation of Honda City Cars. The production of Honda City started in 1981 but it is being brought in the market as Honda Jazz from 2002. The car is beautifully designed. It is a sub compact car. Initially the earlier generations were hatchback cars. The exterior of the Honda Jazz model is pretty and the interior is very comfortable. The fog lights, tail lights and headlamps have been changed. Now all these look even well than the last model. The car gives a larger look as it has been extended on both sides. From the front it has been extended forward by 65 mm and the rear has been extended by 15 mm. 15 inch alloy wheels are standard equipment. The interiors have been redone as well but not to a large extent. Now the side mirrors are electronically foldable. As usual, Honda has given the due importance to the exterior as well as the interiors of the car. The performance is also good as the technical aspect is also well handled.
