Design:
The cars built especially for this program are unique. Even a professional eye can recognize Enzo Ferrari model that has gone through all sided modernization. Aero dynamics of the prototype was considerably improved. Now the tracking force has been increased to 40%, and a back regulated spoiler is made especially for test track conditions. Namely for this model, the Bridgestone tire company created unique tires that covers for 19 inch wheels, and Brembo designed new brakes system. As to the formula technologies saturation, the new Ferrari can yield only to Michael Schumacher’s Bolid. From Enzo new FXX took only the bottom, general body design and suspension construction to be exact. All the rest of the techniques went through considerable improvements.
Engine:
The tracking force has been increased as compared to Enzo to 40 % as it was stated earlier, besides, its meaning can be changed, regulating attack level angle of the back anti wing. Connecting rods set on the new version of V12 engine are made of lighter and more manufacturability alloys; geometry of inlet and outlet systems is calculated totally in a different manner As a result, working volume makes up 6,262 litre, the power was increased up to the magic figure (magic for formula 1 fan) of 88 horse power and the red zone of velocity gage begins with point 10 000 turns per minute. The transmission is mostly the same that is used on Bolides of Schumacher and Barrikello: titan cast, transmission switch taken 100 mili seconds.
Brakes:
Namely for this Ferrari FXX Brembo designed brand new brakes system having disks of composite ceramics, ‘fresh’ brakes shoes and it also invented special mechanisms cooling system. And the buses department of Bridgestone presented special series of 19 inch slicks.
Other Features:
The Ferrari FXX can not be used on the public usage roads, it is forbidden to run it off racing roads, as it is stated above. This car is totally in the testing mode and everyone who buys it becomes the participant of unique test program in which Michael Schumacher, Rubens Berricello and factory’s test-pilots will take part. The test results will be used by the company in order to create new model row, for this purpose each car will be supplied with board telemetry system calculating more than 30 sensing elements.
