General Introduction:

Chevrolet Motor Division is the leading department of General Motors that deals with sedans, off road cars and pick-up cars manufacture. Chevrolet cross rover Equinox is intended to conquer the North American market with this model of utmost popularity. The Canadian factory CAMI (Ontario) was reconstructed for manufacturing these cars. In this factory GM merged with Suzuki were to manufacture the Chevrolet Tracker (Suzuki Grand Vitara).

Design:

As marketing director of this project Margaret Brooks admits ‘ The market for cross rovers is increasing and the buyers demand has become far more functional. The usual SUV models now look more stylish, comfortable and have better supply and bundling’. For increased functionality, the back seat of the Equinox can be moved up to 20 mm which suggests more room for passenger’s feet or it can be extra volume of the trunk. The front and back seats are constructed in such a way that they can serve as a cargo transporting space like serfs. Regulated at height trunk shelf has double covering (easily washed plastics and carpet covering on the other side), it can be used as a removed picnic table. There exist special niches serving for trifles, including covered with lids boxes on the central console and in the trunk.

Engine:

The Cross rover is provided with 185 horse power and 3.4 litre volume engine.

The Chevrolet Equinox is a light car with increased maneuverability and it has frontal or full driving gear. The Chevrolet Equinox has a 3.4L V6 engine which works in tandem with 5 staged automatic transmission. Judging from the shape Equinox claims to be the longest and broadest car in this category when compared to other cross rovers like Ford Escape Jeep, the Liberty and the Honda CR-V are also included here.

Brakes:

Base bundling may include either front or full driving gear, however it is be borne in mind that on dry roads the circling moment will be given only to the front wheels and while their skidding it will be transferred to the back ones as well. Different Versions:

There are two different versions of the vehicle viz: the Chevrolet Equinox Sport and the Chevrolet Equinox Fuel Cell. The Chevrolet Equinox Fuel Cell is considered to be the first car of the latest generation cars. Land forces of the United States became the first users of the up to date fuel element technologies developed by General Motors Corp. Its low suspension, huge wheels, aggressive looks and powerful engine is what makes Chevrolet Equinox Sport popular amonmgst the masses. The sales take place predominantly in North America and the costs start from 23 thousand dollars. This compact off road car would have definitely found a market in other countries as well because of its technical characteristics, stylish looks and relatively low price as compared with all other off road cars. The Sports version has became more ‘courageous’ because of the low suspension and artificial elements in the car exterior. The roomy salon can accommodate 5 persons and all of the passengers can sit comfortably.
